In furious. Tybalt was determined to duel Romeo even

In the play, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, minor characters highly contributed to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. First off, Tybalt strolled into town with the intention of starting a fight with Romeo.  Friar Laurence married the couple in secret and not in public where all the fighting could have ended. And finally, Mercutio started a fight between him and Tybalt that caused Romeo to become exiled from the town. Shocker that what presumed to the end was fighting, especially with all the secret-keeping going around.    In the midst of all the chaos, Friar Laurence gets dragged in to marry off Romeo to Juliet. Poor Friar Laurence is then told he has to Marry Juliet to Paris. Knowing this is wrong and unholy, Friar Laurence gives Juliet a potion to make her appear dead for 42 hours. Which worked. It really did, but maybe it worked a little too well. Juliet successfully convinces her parents and workers that she is dead. Her family throws a funeral and puts her body in the tomb, plain and simple just like that. Until Romeo comes along, sees her supposedly dead body, and offs himself right there next to her. All of this caused the prince to have a wakeup call and stop the fighting. Now, to think that this all could’ve been avoided if Friar Laurence had just been open about marrying Romeo and Juliet.    Tybalt, however, had a gigantic impact on the end of the story by deciding to fight Romeo in the first place. As soon as Romeo strolled into the party Tybalt was furious. Tybalt was determined to duel Romeo even if it was the last thing he was to ever do. And just that it was. When Tybalt gets to duel Romeo, Romeo quickly slays him as if nothing had ever happened. Except something did, Romeo was banished to another town and Tybalt was now forever dead. When the news gets to Juliet she is torn that her secret husband is never allowed back in town. The Capulet family thought she was just grieving over Tybalt’s death, so they did the only reasonable thing to do when someone is grieving. They married her off to someone she had no feeling for and she wasn’t allowed to say no to marrying because it’s what her father wanted.    Oh boy, if any characters had the most effect on the plot line and deaths it would have had to be Mercutio. Mercutio had everything to do with the plot. First, he forced Romeo to go to this party where he met Juliet, and Tybalt swore to battle him. Then, he decided it would be a great idea to attempt to battle Tybalt before Tybalt could battle Romeo and spoiler alert. He lost. All of this directly affected Romeo as it included him in the battle, and Romeo falling for Juliet and not the girl he was already determined on marrying.     The minor characters in any story can have more effect on the plot than the main characters. In Romeo and Juliet, it was clear if you did a little digging. So who really contributed the most to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Considering that two of the characters fought each other and both died, and the other lied to keep Romeo and Juliet safe, it’s definitely Friar Laurence. Aside from the fact that he’s the only one who remained alive, he made the biggest impact on the couple.
