She was known during the Harlem Renaissance for her with irreverence, and folk writing style. I agree with zora’s position on segregation she was helpful,1  an outspoken women, and about the education.

Hurston was an amazing woman who deserves mention whenever we talk about the great freethinkers in our history.Hurston is an influential writer for many African Americans authors and more people, they has been among her most outspoken champions. In the text it says “it is possible that the end of segregation is not here and never meant to be present”. Hurston was at the height of her powers in 1973, when she first fell seriously out of steps with the times .
